Hi Hakan, and MM again You're right, Hakan, IMO, and it struck me too, as it always does, though I didn't mention it, glad you did. MM said: "... the vehicles in question are such high-margin high-profit centers for the auto companies." And, coming closer: "I think we can see clearly that the deck is stacked very actively against a wide array of fuel-conserving vehicles, with efforts like this." It seems to be part of a concerted and, as you say, efficient effort not just to steer more profit to the auto companies (and perhaps save them development costs), or not even primarily that, but to burn the maximum possible amount of fossil fuel to swell the coffers of the oil companies, and to hell with everything and everyone else. Not just corrupt but criminal. But I liked MM's outline, clear and well-reasoned, amid all the noise and bicker and misinfo.
