Is not so much me being "right" as me having had a doubt raised in my
mind.  There are a lot of people who have wishful thinking in place
that they want the world oil supply to peak because they hate modern
industry and productivity, or because they love progressive
technologies and seeing the future and are tired of a lifetime of
speaking with folks whose part or full-time policy seems to be
dissimulation.

My own view is to suspect that we are running out of some of the
easy-to-get-oil but that technically there may be a great deal more
oil, if only we are willing to pay $100-$200 per barrel for it.  This
complication makes it harder to fit my own view into the usual two
discussion categories presented to me.
