As far as I know, all regular staff wages (including those with Union contracts) at Cornell are substantially above the living wage as defined by the AFCU's 2007 Livable Wage study and the TC Workers' Center. Could you be more specific about what you'd consider a reasonable commitment to "sustainable wages for Cornell's own employees?"
Union labor contracts are at http://www.ohr.cornell.edu/policies/laborContracts/index.html . I believe only current staff can see regular staff pay policies, but you might be able to get more information by contacting someone in the HR department. -- Rich ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony Del Plato" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Sustainable Tompkins County listserv" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 02, 2007 11:02 AM Subject: Re: [SustainableTompkins] Cornell, Sustainability and a Living Wage > Excellent Carl.
