The story below from <treehugger.com> and Planet Green reminded me of a note
that came across our listserv a few months ago about an emerging initiative to
bring folks who want to garden together with folks who have land - do any of yo
recall WHO was spearheading that?

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is a British national treasure. This writer,
organic farmer, chef, and passionate believer in local communities, has a new
venture: "Landshare"--a scheme which puts people with large unused gardens in
touch with gardeners wanting space. He calls it a "food revolution destined to
be the next great thing." With more people wanting to grow their own food and
allotments being harder and harder to come by, he just may be right. "LandFit"
is another group with the same ambit - bringing ignored land back into use.
