Kinda cool, but I am thinking about 80-column (78 in reality) size. Can
SvarDOS be used on a 40-column system?

SvarDOS can run on a 40-column system, but the help manual won't work. I don't think that reading documentation on a 40x25 TV screen would be a realistic use case.

I followed all these steps. Besides "disk full" messages (I seen about
this in the shell script)

These are normal, nothing to worry about. It is a side-effect of the script testing how much packages it can fit on each floppy disk. I have added a short explanation to the log file now so nobody gets scared anymore.

I am worried about the way that SVN works... I already lost some work
between revisions. Maybe I could make commits with your permission

I didn't expect you'd be willing to continue your cool work on the long run, but if so then indeed I am happy to provide you the means to do so. I will get in touch off-list with details.

About svn: I believe you can use git locally, and make it push commits to svn. I can't tell you how to do so exactly because I'm not a git fan, but I know it's possible.
