Hi Doug and Francis,

I work for a small company in Los Angeles and our web based application
is centered on SVG (IE6/ASV3). Regardless of the fact that I consider
myself a newbie, I am the "local" SVG guru... :) I would have loved to
participate in the SVG Open conference, but our travel budged is kinda
tight, so if the Open comes to San Diego, hell, I will walk down there.

I have no idea how I can help, but if you have any ideas I am open for
suggestions...

Peter

Doug,
As always, you are well-informed. I agree with your evaluation of
Kurt, his efforts, and Victoria. But you must understand that I
believe that SVG can best be served by a serious US recognition at
this time. Shucks, if the opening came to San Diego, I probably
would have work SO hard to help it happen..I don't want this. I'd
rather go to Victoria and enjoy its lovely environment.
Anyway, if others feel that SVG would be best supported at this time
by coming to San Diego U.S., and they can offer their support, then
let that be an indicator...If none respond, then I am wrong in my
assumptions.

Francis
