Fear not Harvey!

Even though Adobe plans to phase out the ASV  plugin for SVG ~2008,  
that does not mean that
they are doing away with SVG support itself.  Adobe has also indicated 
that they will keep
the plug-in available as long as there is a need for it

SVG keeps cropping up in other Adobe products , so logically what will 
happen is
that SVG will be folded into their other products like flash just as 
it's already creeping
into Acrobat.
