I just spent some time prowling around looking for a beta release of IE10. I was interested in test-driving its support for filters specifically (though other SVG-related matters would be of interest as well).
So far as I can tell, though, one can't just do that unless one is running Windows 8 and/or is a member of some sort of special Microsoft development network. Is this characterization accurate?
