Hi Jon, sure, check out <http://osflash.org/actionstep> (an OpenStep subset), it's pure AS2. There also are <http://osflash.org/aswing>, (Java Swing) and <http://mirror1.cvsdude.com/trac/bbc/smx> (Rob Bateman's BBC News components, also see <http://osflash.org/smx> for links to links with examples). Rostislav's EnFlash (<http://osflash.org/enflash>) also has GUI elements among lots of other interesting stuff, AFAIK, so have a look at it also, even if it's not strictly a component kit but a framework.
