Public schools almost certainly will not allow booze. Also, schools are
not staffed 24/7, and there will be a cost for paying a minder when we
want to keep the place open until 2 a.m. for the Shindig.
Some churches also will not allow booze. And they, too are not staffed
24/7.
College campuses might work, as graduation is likely the first weekend
in May and the proposed Fest dates are the second. Booze may or may not
be a problem.
As someone noted, "how many" is the key. The fewer there are, the more
venues can handle the crowd. Any hospitality folks on this list? Are
the weeks between college graduations and high school
graduations--college towns are empty and summer vacations have not
started--a period of weak bookings?
