Hi,

As its already September and I remember there was once talk of 2.1 as early as
October (though I personally always thought more along the lines of
November/December) I wanted to start getting an overview of the major changes
planned for 2.1, especially those not yet complete.

I think it's more reasonable to schedule 2.1 for end of December.

Here are the things I currently have on my radar in no particular order:
- composer integration .. aka i would like us to be ready to use composer as
part of our distribution process

That's a must have

- Registry for Doctrine ODM's somewhere
- stable API for Config, Form (and Validation?), Security, Serializer

Validation is already stable. I agree for the others.

- potentially some more "simplifications" for basic use cases of the
SecurityBundle

+1 for "simplifications", but I think we do more than just for the SecurityBundle. Those simplifications are also directly related to documentation.

- availability of a stable admin bundle for both ORM and ODM

It really depends on the features we want.

- final version of FOSRestBundle
- some serious bug triage effort to get the number of open tickets down
significantly

Stof and I are quite aware of all the tickets and I don't see how we can get them down easily. I mean, most simple tickets have been fixed.

I am sure I have missed a bunch of important topics ..
