On my machine [1], it does install Monolog properly, fetching package info from http://packagist.org and then downloading it from github and unpacking in a vendor dir. However it's hardly finished. There are some pieces missing still, probably some bugs in the solver still for complex cases, but the bottom line is that it runs through, so we need to move forward. I'm quite busy at the moment, but hopefully that'll be slightly better in a week. Nils is coming back from New York soon, I don't know if that means he'll have more time or not, but I hope so. I do realize that at the moment, the barrier for entry is still high, people don't know what to do to help, and I really want to fix that. I'll really try to push forward to have Sf2 dependencies installable, and once that is done I think it'll be easier for people to try it, and see what can be done to make things smoother. Add to that a blog post and/or some more docs and hopefully things will accelerate. If anyone *really* has time to dedicate to this though, I'm happy to discuss it in further details and try to help someone to get started. You can read http://packagist.org/about and http://packagist.org/about-composer though in the meantime. I think for bundles we should add a "type": "Symfony2-Bundle" or something, we need to settle on a type for that, then the installer could handle them a bit smarter than just fetching. Cheers [1] Ryan has tried it and it seemed to fail for him, but I haven't heard back from him so I'm not sure what's up. -- Jordi Boggiano @seldaek - http://nelm.io/jordi -- If you want to report a vulnerability issue on symfony, please send it to security at symfony-project.com You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "symfony developers" group.
