I was doing a little work with masters equations and generating functions
the other day, and needed some related functionality to simplify my
expressions that seems very closely related to this thread. I
re-implemented Sum._eval_subs() and added two functions, Sum._eval_factor()
and Sum._eval_expand(). But I'm not sure if/how these last 2 should be
connected to the standard factor() and expand() routines.
@thilina: does your work include these?
