Cool. Thanks for that. I like the idea of using a built in completion
function. I couldn't quite make the colors work with your PS1. Here is
what I ended up with:
PS1='\...@\h:\w\[\e[0;33m\]$(__git_ps1 " (%s)")\[\e[0;39m\]$ '
