To all the students who are applying for GSoC, don't fret about the formatting too much in Melange. Just try to make it look as good as you can. I know from personal experience that getting the formatting right is next to impossible. If you can't get it to come out well, or if there is some formatting that is essential to your application that Melange won't allow, just put something at the top of your application like
"The formatting here is messed up. See the version on the wiki (link)." And to the mentors: don't grade based on formatting. They really can't help it.
