I agree - and this might be the route I go. I personally don't like fixed
limits when I can help it. Most web servers do take 4000 or more. Firefox (a
browser) is capable of sending up to 60k requests. only webservers capable
of getting that much can actually make use of it. I definitely want my
webserver to take that much . on both windows and linux. and eventually Mac
to maybe.. J

Of course, I recently saw some discussions on how most web servers accept at
least 4000 char URLs, and some considerably more than that... so you might
just want to modify the Windows GetEnvironmentVariable BufSize to use a much
larger size...
