I downloaded your mibs directory and it works fine. > > Thanks, i saved > http://www.simpleweb.org/ietf/mibs/modules/IETF/txt/RDBMS-MIB as > RDBMS-MIB.txt to my mibs folder, but still getting the following: > > C:\snmptranslate>snmptranslate.exe -Td -M. -mALL .1. > 3.6.1.2.1.39.2.2 iso.3.6.1.2.1.39.2.2 iso OBJECT-TYPE > -- FROM #-1 > ::= { iso(1) 3 6 1 2 1 39 2 2 } >
This means that snmptranslate can't find the mibs. As I noted earlier the -M parameter is used to specify to the dir containing the mibs. I ran snmptranslate from the directory containing the mibs. Hence -M. in my command line. Add -Dparse-mibs to snmptranslate to get debug info. It's a lot of output but in the beginning you get the list of mibs parsed by snmptranslate. It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense.
