It is generally a singularly BAD IDEA to use browser-side transforms to display RSS. Especially not when used in page-load sort of scripts.
RSS feeds are made to be *periodically* downloaded. Usually never more frequently than once an hour. Most feeds don't update more than once a day so even hourly is a waste. If you decide to use such scripts then be SURE you're doing it only with your own feeds. Don't subject some poor feed publisher to the abuse of your page-scripts hammering their site. It has happened before and it can really cause havoc for the provider. -Bill Kearney Syndic8.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Morgan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Does anyone know of, or come across, a piece of JavaScript or a XSLT > stylesheet tranform that will display an RSS feed as a list of > headlines? ------------------------ Yahoo!
