I'll second the recommendation for Blog Lines. True confessions time for me, folks. Despite the fact that I wrote the (as far as I know) world's first desktop news aggregator in 1999, I haven't been using any aggregator at all for the past couple of years. I tried a bunch, but never quite found one that worked right for me. The fact that I use two different computers at home, and another two at work, travel a lot, and am very picky undoubtedly had something to do with this.
A few weeks ago I took a fresh look at Blog Lines and I really liked what I saw. I am not quite sure what the "tipping point" feature turned out to be, and why I found it to be more to my liking than every before, but it was definitely good enough for me. I did successfully import my Syndic8 personal list of feeds (in OPML format) into my account, spent some time customizing and cleaning it up, and I am actually very happy with it. It has just the right combination of features to make it usable and customizable without being too complex. Its feed directory is pretty sucky, but that's why we have Syndic8, right? Note that the various "subscribe" buttons along the left column of every feed info page on Syndic8 can be very helpful to you. I am always happy to add support for even more aggregators, so just drop me an email if your favorite one isn't supported. Jeff; On Thu, 02 Mar 2006 11:07:25 -0500, "Jason A.
