Category: Crasher/nasty bug Group: None Status: Open Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Matt Chang (mtt710) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Impervious Waypoints Initial Comment: I've noticed a rather bothersome bug. Sometimes when I make a way point, when i try to move it, it just snaps back into place. When I move another way point onto the "Impervious" one (which normally overrides it), it appears to work, but when I try to drag it it splits up into two way points again, with, of course that one invincible one still there. When I right click the way point the only option i get, is to 'Jump to'. If i ever wanted to delete one of these super way points, i wouldn't be able to. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: dooglus (dooglus) Date: 2008-11-19 20:38 Message: Fixed in SVN r2225. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: dooglus (dooglus) Date: 2008-11-19 19:11 Message: My previous comment wasn't correct. The waypoints are all being moved, even the ones in the disabled layers, but the display isn't updated for the ones in disabled layers. Enabling and re-disabling the disabled layer will make the 'impervious' waypoint jump to where it was dragged to. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: dooglus (dooglus) Date: 2008-11-19 18:44 Message: Yes, here's how to reproduce it: 1) draw a circle 2) enter animate mode 3) edit the radius to make a waypoint 4) disable the circle layer 5) encapsulate the circle layer you'll see a waypoint on the encapsulation layer's 'canvas' parameter, but won't be able to move it when you drag the waypoint, studio recurses down through the encap's subcanvas moving the waypoints it finds, but it doesn't consider disabled layers ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Genete (genete) Date: 2008-09-24 18:52 Message: It looks to me like a bad formed time on the waypoint properties. A better way to move or override this behavior is to directly edit the waypoint properties using the right click Edit Waypoint menu. I think that at the time this bug was created, that feature was not available or the submitter didn't noticed its existence. Can anyone reproduce consistently this bug? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matt Chang (mtt710) Date: 2007-06-06 04:51 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1444170 Originator: YES I just found another, much easier fix. This bug is happens when you create a waypoint in a capsule then disable or "uncheck" a layer in that capsule. To fix it you can "recheck" or delete the layers that caused the bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matt Chang (mtt710) Date: 2007-06-03 22:25 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1444170 Originator: YES Okay i found a way to fix it. You can't actually delete these waypoints but you can move them to a frame where you can't see them. What you do is open the .sif file (MAKE SURE YOU BACK IT UP IN CASE YOU MAKE A MISTAKE) in a text editor that can do "Find and Replace". You do a 'find' for the waypoint by searching for the time of the waypoint, which is in seconds and not frames. (I'm not sure if it does minuets and hours or not). The syntax of the file is 'waypoint time="(time)"'. So you just put in the time of the waypoint, in seconds (ex. For 2s 6f, if you have 24 frames per second you do 2.25000000s (there are several zeros)) After you find it, replace the time with something else, (a frame where the object can't be seen) then replace all. If anybody can find an easier way around this please post it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=757416&aid=1730067&group_id=144022 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Synfig-devl mailing list Synfig-devl@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/synfig-devl
