In one of the other lowend mac mailing lists there was a discussion recently about software based firewalls from which I got the impression that software based firewalls aren't really a good idea, besides most dsl/cable modem routers already have a build in firewall and the need for a firewall isn't very large with System 6. System 6 is pretty secure because it hasn't got inbuilt file sharing, let alone file sharing over tcp/ip. If you wanna develop software, then you might find that the market for a stable system 6 compatible web browser and a system 6 compatible webserver might be a bit larger.
