Hi,
A round of applause to the individual that asked the "crucial question"
that brought this list back to life! :-) (Sorry, I forget who it was.
Mel?)
It's great to see some conversation here, and it inspired me to quickly
set up a Mac and send some email. My first thought was to dig out my Mac
Plus and the GCC FX/20 hard drive, but I was too impatient, and popped open
my PowerBook 170 instead, since it has the built-in hard drive and modem.
Sorry. :-)
Which leads me to ask, has anyone ever found a way to make System 6.x
work on the early PowerBook 1xx series? After all, it's got a 68030
processor and a maximum of 8 Megs of RAM, and would literally FLY on 6.0.8
or its ilk. And I know there was a version 6.0.8L which could be used on
certain models...
Just dreaming, I guess...
Rob
