I haven't read this full thread, and it probably isn't useful for me to do so. But it seems that the first question to be answered by the developers is: Are they concerned that uptake is not as fast as they'd like? and if the answer to that is Yes, then: Would they like to hear feedback from users as to what they might do about it? There's no point in jabbering about it unless the answer to the second question is Yes.
