Interestingly, while the RW site doesn't list Ralph as a sub-4 minute miler, Bob Sevene has an article on Coolrunning where he says Ralph ran 3:55.2.
Now, seeing that Ralph ran a documented 7:42 for 3000 meters at Lausanne in 1979, I'm inclined to believe Sev. But it'd be interesting to find out where and when? If you're thinking only mile King may be right. But if you're including 1500. I'd make the argument that Eric O'Brien's 3:39.98 (~3:58.0 mile) makes him the best "miler." in Georgia history. From what I can dig up King never broke 4 for the mile. Anyone have stats on his 1500 best? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Mcewen, Brian T Sent: Monday, November 19, 2001 9:23 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: t-and-f: Best all-time milers by state ? Georgia: For HS miles it could be Brendan Mahoney ('99) or Ralph King. For fastest post-HS times, it has to be Ralph King. Easy enough to figure these out though. Hoffman's site has all the elite Mile and 2-Mile times for HS'ers. /Brian McEwen -----Original Message----- From: toby - [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, November 16, 2001 12:55 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: t-and-f: Best all-time milers by state ? how bout the skinniest man alive-Chris Fox- for WV(3:59.0)?
