it is understood that this is always the same tag for the same or similar function wrt public transport routing, but is there a benefit from it? Aren't bus stops different from ferry boarding or from platforms in train stations? For those of us who don't use presets, isn't it simpler to add highway=bus_stop on your smartphone than public_transport=platform and bus=yes? I do not care a lot about this issue, but from the actual tagging it seems people prefer the simple way (simple for them). Cheers, Martin
