I want to be able to run Tails on *public library "windows" computers
**without rebooting*.
With this in mind, I installed tails-i386-0.22.1 to an 4GB flash drive
with Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.5.2.exe as described in "Using a
Portable Virtualbox to run Linux from USB" by www.pendrivelinux.com.
However its installer did not display its -otherwise included-
opportunity to set persistence. I emailed Pendrive about this; they
answered: "Obviously Persistence feature is unsupported for TAILS."
However, I know this is not true. Most likely it is due to VirtualBox
on which their application relies.
I completed the USB installation on my library's public windows
computer. The resulting flash drive boots from the BIOS, but Tails is
without persistence.
So, the question remains: "what must I do to achieve my original goal."
On reflection, a new iso file of a Tails version with a permanent
built-in persistence capability may fool the installer. However, there
may be better ways.
I would appreciate any suggestions on this matter.
BTW. I tried also Tibo's "LiLi USB Creator" with same results.
