I prefer to explicitly tag the roads with the maxspeeds and access rules. The reason: why would we enforce data consumers to consult another data source to find this data. Why make it difficult to merge that data with OSM data ?
What's the next step for splitting data: keep the address data separately ? Borders ? Walking networks ? I find one of the main benefits that OSM is almost a one-stop for all your needs. Splitting off all kinds of data means that we lose this benefit. just my .5 cents m On Wed, Jun 8, 2016 at 6:50 PM, Killian De Volder <o...@killiandevolder.be> wrote: > I feel like we left Seppe hanging. > A general registry is somewhat hard to obtain / organize in the foreseeable > future. > > So the question should first be: different meanings for bicyle-road per > country or not ? > > > > On 07-06-16 11:24, Santens Seppe wrote: >> Hi all, >> >> I saw a discussion [1] on the Dutch forum about tagging “bicycle streets” >> [2].
