John,

I mentioned several times in the various email threads that I planned to make substantial changes to the wiki. If you think something I added is a value judgment, I encourage you to point it out, on the wiki itself ideally. I think I've mostly been restructuring the page (without deleting much) and adding content on data quality.

Best,

A number of people were involved in the original and it might have been nice to
consult with them before making such drastic changes. The word consensus
springs to mind.

I make no comment on whether the changes are good or bad merely extensive
without apparent consultation.
John, much consensus is achieved in wiki Discussion(s), simply click the
Discussion tab, https://wiki.osm.org/wiki/Talk:Canada_Building_Import and
notice that there are four threads/sections under Discussion there already.

If some "number of people" were involved in the original, they are perfectly
welcome to join there.

I'm not saying "don't do this in talk-ca" I am saying "there are often
more-appropriate (vs. less-appropriate) places to have a discussion to achieve consensus."
Sometimes, it makes sense to have an off-list email conversation in a one-on-one or one-on-many
fashion. Thanks.
