Hi Adrian,

Welcome to the mailing list. A few things:

Priest's Leap
Going by the British War Office map the peak is at about 1700 feet, which is
roughly 520 meters. MountainViews says 519 M -
http://mountainviews.ie/summit/413/?PHPSESSID=2buu07mnbcq8c0irbaatupnmr4. So
why is it showing 572 M ? Well that's because the Earth isn't perfectly round -

Roads
"Some of my other "errors" relate to features shown as
roads which are actually overgrown tracks which you couldn't even walk
along much less drive and certainly NOT a public road"

If you are certain it's not a public road (it's not always obvious) then it
can be marked as service road, track or path. An overgrown track would still
be a track put you could set motor_vehicle=no .

"In one case there is a "track" across a field on OSM which was shown on the
aerial photos as
no more than the marks left by a tractor on one pass. "

Nothing wrong with mapping farmer's tracks, though there can be exceptions.
Consider using tracktype=grade5 if the track is largely unused -

When in doubt check the wiki ;)
