I totally agree that XP is unsafe to use however there are other
considerations for not upgrading. Some of those running XP also have
other programs that will also need to be upgraded when moving to a later
OS. For example such things as OCR programs and such.

As I understand it, Window-eyes 9.0 is the final version that works with
xp. I'd also like to very gently point out that if you're still running
xp, it really is time to seriously think about saving for an upgrade of
your operating system. It's become really unsafe if you're constantly
online, and I'd really hate to see anyone get infected. Microsoft no
longer supports it so you're not getting any of the latest security
updates, and these days, security is more important than ever before.

Windows 7 has gone down in price as it's 2 versions behind the current
one. I'm still running 7 and it works very well, but my next pc will
quite definitely be running Windows 10. All the screenreader
developers are working closely with Microsoft, and these days Windows 10
is a breeze to use. So, upgrade with confidence.

My goal for 2016 was to lose just 20 pounds. Only 30 to go.
