It would be awesome to have Humanware take Window-Eyes over. In fact, VFO might as well hand over Window-Eyes to Humanware.

Hi Peter, Why not two screen readers from VFO. Many other companies in the real world have more than one brand of products in their offerings, why not Window-eyes which is far better than the other brand VFO sells. Also if Window-eyes is dead like so many speculate, VFO had no issues in selling me a Window-eyes SMA a month ago for $199.00 for the next two major upgrades! Narrator has a long way to go to be a viable screen reader and do we want to be relying on Narrator for Windows, like those poor folks who have MAC and appple products having only one choice, Voice over! NVDA is coming along, but it has a way to go to be equal to Window-eyes. I am successfully using Window-eyes 9.1 with XP Pro. YOU are probably laughing, but MY company did over $500,000.00 using XP pro, Window-eyes 9.1, AVG 2 year protection software, Firefox for my browser, Office 2003 with the ms converter patch to access office 2007 and up files, and good old outlook express and outlook as email clients with little or no issues! I also have over 6 computers with windows 7 pro with the latest Window-eyes 9.54 with little issues. I wil go to Dolphin screen reader before I am stuck with no Window-eyes and have NVDA as a backup screen reader. Who knows, maybe if the alternative facts are true about the end of Window-eyes, maybe some other adaptive company wil take it over and keep it alive, Like HumanWare. So I wil expect a refund from VFO if Window-eyes does not come out with any major upgrades and use my refund to purchase Dolphin screen reader software instead. It always amazes me when smart folks (like on this list) prefer a fanticy instead of reality. There is absolutely no reason for Window-Eyes to continue and compete with JFW. Why would they do that? There are 3 options to check out: Narrator on Windows 10, NVDA, and VoiceOver. So, get real and get to work. I suppose those of you who believe that Window-Eyes will stay around also believe that the health care bill that passed the House last week will cover everybody as promised by Trump instead of leaving 24 million folks without any health care.
