Yes, using the old with the new is the best experience. For example, I have a Windows XP computer hiding in the closet LOL! I use JAWS 13 on it, and I use programs on that computer that I cannot use on my win10 computers LOL! I am afraid to tell people this on other lists, because I might be a sinner in their eyes LOL!
