Hmm, I guess I am too crazy for my own good! I am able to run both Jaws and Window-Eyes at the same time. When I do this, I find that Window-Eyes continues reading stuff long after Jaws has stopped. Now, here me out! It's not a good idea to do what I do! I just get a good kick out of tinkering with what each screen reader can or will do. It is, without, confusing listening to both at the same time. Ultimately, I shut down one of them and stick with one. But as I said, I am crazy for my own good! As an aside, when it comes to the loading of websites, Window-Eyes does it much faster than Jaws does! Some check buttons that I have problems with are NO ISSUES for Window-Eyes! Example, time and time again, I encounter checkboxes which, using Jaws WILL NOT check with the press of the <spacebar>. I unload Jaws, fire up Window-Eyes and I have NO PROBLEMS using the <spacebar> to check the same checkbox. Lastly, I'm migrating off Windows completely, and September is still my set deadline! I'll keep Window-Eyes on my laptop for memory sake, but I won't upgrade this box past Windows7 64Bit Professional which it currently has, and I'll let the computer die a natural death and find its space in some antiquity museum or landfill! Yikes, how much love I have for the environment?
