Hi Tom and Carol, First, the most recent attempt to give me the URL to your app in your DropBox worked fine, and I did switch the final 0 to 1 to allow immediate download. Also, I created a shortcut with that URL on my system, and so, if you create updates, and you place them in that same location, I'll be fine. As for bitly and tinyurl, these are free web services which have an edit box, normally the first one on the site, which has the label: Paste the URL to shorten here Followed by a button labelled: Shorten URL So, once you press the button, the pasted URL will be replaced by a very short URL, composed of letters and numbers, which you can use anywhere you wish to substitute for the longer one. After the URL is shortened, the web page will often have a button named: copy URL allowing you to copy the shortened URL to the clipboard for your convenience. Such shortened URLs are found in Twitter posts and elsewhere since they take up fewer characters. The one I use is bitly, and you can find it simply by googling that word since it is a very famous shortener service, as is tinyurl. However, since even the URLs still begin with http, they are no good for sending a URL to someone like me who has an outlook.com email address, of which Hotmail is one of its domains. And so, the only way you can send a URL to someone whom you know has an outlook email address is to change its structure into something which is no longer recognized as a proper URL. Putting parentheses around the leading http does the trick. So, Tom, I have used bitly to shorten the URL to your chrome app, and I changed the final 0 to 1 within it. Using my method of enclosing the leading http within parentheses, the URL is: (http)://bit.ly/2JO8Sch And so, all one needs to do is remove the parentheses in the above URL, paste it into the address bar of their browser, press Enter, and the download dialog box for your app should appear. Well, that's enough chit-chat about this totally boring and yet important issue. (smile) Thanks Tom, once again, for continuing to write apps, and, indeed, I did write one recently for the Skype for Windows 10 desktop app, if anyone's interested. My app doesn't do too much except that, without it, as you scroll through a chat history, the date is not read out as one moves from a block of posts from one date to those of a different date. The URL to my public DropBox folder, which contains a number of things, including the Skype app, is: (http)://bit.ly/2gX64M0 Remember to remove the parentheses in the above URL, or, again, it won't do anything but get you mad. (smile) Keep in mind that the above URL is for a web page which contains all of the files in my public DropBox folder, where each file is represented by a link. So, in order to download any of these files, you would focus the link of the file you wish to download, press Enter, and press Enter once more, whereupon you will get a drop-down menu with two options. These options are to download the file, either to your personal DropBox folder, or directly to your normal browser's download folder. If the above method for downloading the files doesn't work, you can focus any of the file links, and press the Applications key or Shift-F10, and scroll down to the appropriate option for your browser in order to download the file to your browser's download folder. Well, I let you all go for now. (smile)
