A few points to throw in the mix: * Do we have people who want to write a blog for the project as a whole? - Blogging requires quite a bit of commitment, especially for such a fast moving project, if things get busy elsewhere, the blogs tend to suffer.
* Assuming we have enough people interested, should we have some kind of editorial policy (i.e. "no Wee Poo Street notifications", or "max two LOLcat pictures a month")? * If we create a new blog - can/should we import the relevant tagged entries from opengeodata? * Can we simply rename opengeodata or point to blog subdomain?
