you might be shocked. I rarely add this info. many edits are a mix of gps, yahoo tracing, best guess, averaging and interpolation with other existing data, topo maps if free version available, free shape files. why would I add all this info? just a lot of work with no benefit. we are not in a constant lawsuit where we have to document each single node. let's spend more time on the map instead of defining the "rules" if someone likes to add it so let them do it. osm means open ....
