I agree with your point, but that's a bit of hyperbole there. The data is still there, it's just marked with visible="false". If you want to get it back, you can just change visible to "true". That's not meant to be just a one-liner that we can say "okay" to and then forget about. We should work on actually coming up with solutions to situations where the goals of different participants seem to conflict. I think Lester outlines some of those solutions above, but if there are problems with them I think we all want to hear them.
