To see changesets in a specific area, browse: http://www.openstreetmap.org/history?bbox=MinLong,MinLat,MaxLong,MaxLat Note that it includes a lot of "noise" generated by bots that define huge areas for their changesets. You'd have to download the individual changesets, then walk through them and get the min/max lat/lon to find the "real" edited area.
