But if you have some gps traces in the area and/or some surveyed roads then it's possible to line up the imagery with the known surveyed items.

Area I'm working in at the moment generally appears to be 5-10 metres out. From numerous gps traces and known positions.


Same as was done with Yahoo and some of the early nearmap imagery.
