We've taken great care to write our replies in a generic fashion where possible, with the aim of collecting knowledge that others can profit from (instead of asking the same question over and over again). Not copying past answers, at least the last two years or so, would mean we'd have to write all these answers again because the questions will inevitably be asked. I think it would be rather disrespectful to those who have invested a lot of time into building a good body of knowledge in the old system to say "let's throw away this content, main thing is we get a shiny new system". And the alternative of having to keep the old system around in a read-only fashion is not super attractive either.
