Two reactions: 1) The two parties aren't really communicating well. It is likely that the one that opened the note knows there is on-ground cemetery not shown on the map. Instead, there is a question - which is basically wrong in a note. Basically one saying "not fully mapped" and the other "is mapped". I don't see "I know because of X that it is bigger and it needs a local mapper". 2) I too have had issues with multiple armchair mappers closing notes and pestering notes. People seem to take it as their mission to drive the number of open notes to zero. Some looking into and addressing is useful; often the map has caught up but the person who improved it didn't realize there was a note. But, there is a typical "I am armchair mapping and if I can't armchair fix it the note should not be open" apparent underlying attitude. Often, when I open a note, fixing it needs on-the-ground looking and my note is thus intended for other people who are actually nearby. Hard to tell exactly what's going on here. _______________________________________________ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
