One thing to keep in mind! Talks doesn't say task manager when you do a long press of Menu or get to it from within most programs on Symbian 9.3 phones and above. It just bring up a list of currently running programs. On some phones if nothing is running! It will just say StandBy, or Menu and when you arrow it will then say StandBy. What is seen and read out by Talks may very if you have a branded phone or unbranded phone. As a example only! On AT&T branded phoens it will say Idel screen in place of StandBy.

hi,
to troubleshoot the problem you are facing, you may need a sighted assistant and try to disable talks to see whether you can access the task manager without talks present. i still dont understand why you are facing this problem while many of us dont. in fact i've tryed to change the language of my 6700s to swedish and i can access to the task manager with no problem.

Hi!
Its new.
I dont think a new phone where talks newly is installed a soft reset
would help.

Well in the meantime to benefit from the list why not just do a soft
reset and see if it works for you then.

Hello!
Didnt you read my message?
I said that the task manager does not work neither on my n86 nor on
my 6700 slide.
I know how to get to the taskmanager.
I have tried booth ways and it does not work.
Well i can live with it for two monhts.
In august i will be an iphone user.
SO i can do without it.

Yes the Task manager does work on the N86. You have to press the
menu key twiece and hold it on the 2nd press. So the first press
is Talks and then you would press and hold for about 1 second.
Then release it and at that point the task manager will be up. You
can also get to the Task manager from within any Options menu.
Just arrow up one time and press select and the task manager will
come up.

Hi!
It seems that no one on this list uses this phone.
However i had the luck to install talks but it was a bit hard.
One thing thats disappointing about this phone is that it doesnt
have the podcatcher nor the internetradio.
The internet radio is ok but where to find the podcatcher for
symbian?
Also as usual talks does not read the taskmanagers list but i
didn't expect it to do so.
It doesn't work on my n86 so why should it work on my 6700 slide?
