Hi Tsvetelin,

Please email Howard for CVS access. This sounds like a good approach to me.

Alternatively your work could go in a ComponentRepository MindBridge was discussing on Wiki.

Hi Malcolm and all,

The tree component is in the initial stage. I see that many people have seen
the tree but I don't know whether they use it. I expect to receive feature
requests and bugs. It is a complex component and I expect that there will
be a lot of active development on it.
For those reasons I think it will be better if I have CVS access.

Hi Joseph and Tsvetelin

Your respective "popout-link" and "tree" components look like a great
Tapestry:contrib components.

My understanding is traditionally hship would grant CVS commit access to
some developers contributing code, or simply commit their contributions
himself.

I'm assuming that Tapestry is now moving to a more Jakarta style of open
source development where Tapestry 'commiters' will commit peoples
contributions on their behalf.

Alternatively you can become a "commiter" with CVS commit access and commit
the component yourselves. Under Apache rules you are invited to become a
commiter by the other commiters.

If you would like some of the active Tapestry commiters can commit the
component on your behalf. I believe the active commiters include: Howard
Lewis Ship, Mind Bridge, Neil Clayton, Richard Lewis-Shell, Geoff Longman,
Paul Geerts and myself.

I think there will probably need to be some review process of contributed
components by the active commiters before they are included in
Tapestry:contrib or Tapestry core framework. Possibly going through a voting
process. I am starting to wing it (guess) here, so some feed back by others
would be appreciated.

Tsvetelin and Joe what approach would you like to take?

regards Malcolm Edgar
