Hi, I would ask that you not go for it. We have a large client that uses iPlanet/SunOne server. The current 'enterprise' version is 6.5, which isn't 2.3 compliant or compatible with the 1.4 jdk. The recent 7.0 release is just fluff. They left out major features included in the 6.5 version. The 'real' 7.0 release is scheduled for May of next year.
Using 2.3 features in tapestry would definitely cause problems on this app server. If it's not necessary, I'd say wait a bit longer. BTW, I'd like to add that iPlanet completely sucks. Avoid it like the plague.
