I did looked at the wiki for the some of ref designs, and the web app are what I was looking for. But most of them did not give the code. What I was looking for was the code like petshop which was close to real world app. By real world app, I mean the type of web apps which include header/footer, navigator, frames (or alternative with tables) etc. The reason I was looking for such code is that it will reduce my time on riding on learning curve.

Fanz, Spindle is only used for editing. It is an eclipse plugin that highlights text and does edit checks. I would consider it an eclipse editor for .jwc/.html and application files. If you are looking for reference designs the wiki has a list of sites that have been implemented with Tapestry. Spindle makes life easier, but is not required. hth, Mark -----Original Message----- From: Cui, Fanzhe [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wed 2/1/2006 9:31 AM To: Tapestry users Subject: RE: Re: Spindle for Tapesty 4? I did read that tutorial by Kent, and I think it is very good tutorial - I am even think buying the ebook for the rest of the chapters. What I am trying now is go further to design a web server with more sophisticated features. Before doing so, I wanted to see some reference designs with Tapestry, but I found some of them were using spindle as well. There is a book on tapestry 4.0 from kent tong, and there is the getting started tutorial in tapestry homepage - this should get one going, both for tapestry 4.0ß and don't rely on spindle.
