Further to what Donal wrote, it sounds as if you could get a lot from using your own installation of myExperiment. There is some notification mechanisms that have been developed for myE but I am not sure what their release schedule is.
You would probably want to change Taverna a bit to allow simpler saving of workflows up to (your) myExperiment.
