Hello all,
I am searching for a way to comunicate Taverna with Grid. I found the
knowARC plugin which does exactly what I want. But it seems the "grid part"
of this plugin is only available for Taverna 2.2. In Taverna 2.3 and 2.4
there is new version of this plugin called "External tools" which allow run
external application from the local shell, but you can not configure this
plugin to use a grid or a remote ssh, as it was done by the knowARC plugin
in Taverna 2.2
I have two questions:
1) Is there any way to get the "grid version" of this plugin for Taverna
2.3 or Taverna2.4? I mean: Is it possible to install this plugin in Taverna
2.3/2.4 and to be able to connect to Grid?
2) I am using the plugin in Taverna 2.2. But I am wondering if the machine
where I am launching Taverna needs to have installed the user interface
middleware (in my case the gLite UI, with all the commands like
glite-job-submit, glite-job-status, lcg-infosites, etc )
Can you help me? Any information is welcome. My final goal is to be able to
launch an application from Taverna which run in Grid. Now I have the
application running in Grid, but I need the other part: connect Taverna
with Grid.
