That could just be a local firewall problem (with port 2170 open but 2135 blocked); firewalls most certainly can do selective blocking on which port is being connected to, and I've seen places with *very* annoying policies at times. Alas, Taverna can't really do all that much to help with that; corporate firewall policy isn't the kind of problem that we solve. :-)
