Exactly my point. :)

TheBat! knows if, where and how it's installed by reading its registry
keys. The /REG: switch modifies the place it looks at for the
settings.

Simply run a beta with a /REG:beta command line switch. Create a new
shortcut to the .EXE if necessary. Batty should be surprised and try
to configure and install itself. Let it.
