Hello Alexander,

On Mittwoch, 28. November 2001 at 10:13:14 you wrote (at least in part):

AL> Impossible for TB and _correct_ SMTP - they refuse mail with "Sender

AL> ("envelope-from")

The down side is: first TB! does not see the 'Envelope-From', it is
'destroyed' as soon as it is stored by the POP-Toaster.
So the information TB! shows as 'received message from' is the one in
the 'From:' header.
Now imagine a LAN (as I have both at work *lol* and at home) and
rapidly it is possible to have an incomplete from.
Next point is: I'm able to send you a message with full qualified
Envelope-From, but incomplete or even without 'From:' header line.
So this criteria ain't reliable :-(

AL>>> if there are not second brackets pair - there are not filters in work

PP>> Or it is 1.53 :-) (A guess from what I've heard/read from Karin)

Will be implemented ...
if (version < 1.54) disable_all;
:-)

Nope ... A filter could contain a '\' too ... that's not reliable.

AL> It's definitely faster and simpler! (and foolproof... :-))
